There are two seperate mission opportunities presented in Guyana.



Bethany, Guyana

Carved out of the jungle, the newly established Bethany Medical Missionary College, reaches out to the people of Guyana. Located on 50 acres along the Essquibo river, this institute is composed of a wellness center, school, dormitories and airstrip. Students come from villages throughout Guyana to receive missionary training.

Experiences may include:

  • Teaching evangelism methods
  • Teaching in health evangelism school
  • Basic healthcare
  • Natural remedies
  • Medical evangelism along the large Essequibo river

  • Cost for six months: $750

Kimbia Mission Academy
Kimbia, Guyana

KMA was established primarily as a secondary school based on the idea of teaching a person how to be self-supporting and at the same time maintain an active part in the lay missionary program of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Education at Kimbia is about a balance of head, heart and hand.

As such, Kimbia's mission is to provide for the people of Guyana a Christ-centered Christian education, following the type of training commonly called the Madison plan. This education trains for the spiritual, physical and mental needs of the individual in the following areas:

  • Agriculture
  • Vocational
  • Scholastic

Experiences may include:

  • Secondary school teaching
  • Agriculture
  • Bible work & evangelism
